Our love for the beach
(and each other)
Erin and Vu’s story began quietly, long before they both realized it would matter. Both of them crossed paths as students at Will C. Wood Middle School where they caught glances at each other without knowing what the future had in store for them.
Years later, their red string of fate began to tangle itself with one another. Their friendship bloomed in small amounts (and often times creating rifts). Both of them shared laughs, lingering conversations, and shared a familiarity that felt natural to them. With the countless flirty texts to quiet months of ghosting each other, they finally intertwined their red string of fate.
On a warm and starry August night, Vu finally locked in. At the boat harbor in Alameda on August 28th 2015, he asked Erin to be his girlfriend. Time felt like it froze for Vu as there was a slight hesitation from Erin. Instead of an immediate “YES!”, Erin looked confused and asked “Are you joking..?”. In that exact moment, they both laughed and their story began.
